Sgt Major (ret) Mark Spicer
Sgt Major (ret) Mark Spicer is a 25-year veteran of the British Army with a worldwide reputation in the sphere of Sniping that led to his selection and use as the US Governments Expert witness in the Washington DC Sniper trials.


He has served worldwide with the British and UN forces on real world deployments, and has vast experience of counter terrorist operations. As an instructor he has taught many of the worlds elite unit snipers and served as one of a small selected staff at the UK Sniper School. In 2002 he was also seconded to the French Foreign Legion, at their request, to help train their snipers during an operational deployment for the UN. He has also qualified as a USMC sniper deployment officer and advanced sniper as well as a German Army Alpine sniper and since leaving the military has trained a middle east Royal Guard counter sniper unit, a Scandinavian sniper unit and several US Military and Law Enforcement unit snipers.

 
Mark is also the author of 2 successful books on the subject of sniping and continues to work on additional published articles and books. Additionally Mark is the director of training and consultant for McMillan Rifles and Training Detachment.





David Agata
David Agata has been a career police officer in South Florida since1989. Presently assigned to the Bicycle Unit, he has worked in uniform patrol, as a field training officer, Tactical and Gang Unit, D.U.I. enforcement, community oriented policing, burglary task force, critical incident and stress debriefing team, honor guard, domestic violence team and as a medical first responder.

Mr. Agata has been a tactical team member of his department’s Special Response Team since 1996 and a police sniper since 1998. He presently serves as the sniper team leader for his department. He is responsible for the development and implementation of standard operating and training procedures and documentation for the sniper team.  In addition, Mr. Agata developed and implemented his department’s .50 caliber program and has performed the duties of entry team member, point man, breacher and trailer.

He is responsible for bringing contemporary and innovative tactics to his department’s SRT team.  He served three years as the team’s quartermaster, responsible for a budget over $100,000.00. Mr. Agata has been responsible for testing, evaluating and acquisition of new equipment and the development of tactics to support these new technologies and has spearheaded research and development initiatives and strategic partnerships with experts in the field of local, regional and federal law enforcement.

Mr. Agata provides tactical training for his department in the disciplines of weapons handling, tactical cell movement and tactical multiple man clearing, rapid entry deployment and response to an active shooter. He teaches defensive tactics within the tactical environment and training in the use of night vision electro optical systems. He is also a guest instructor and participates in continuing training for the United States Coast Guard, Tactical Law enforcement Teams, (TACLET South) and has assisted this unit in curriculum development and best practice instructional methodology. He was awarded the, “Public Service Commendation,” by The United States Coast Guard Atlantic Command for his services to the Coast Guard.

Mr. Agata is an adjunct instructor for Snipercraft and is an advisory board member for the American Sniper Association. He is also a member of: Florida SWAT Association, the Texas Tactical Officers Association, and The National Tactical Officer’s Association. He also provides support to military snipers, via www.americansnipers.org by supplying military snipers with needed equipment at no cost to them. As a member of this modest group of LE snipers, shared in and was awarded the prestigious, “Carlos Hathcock Award,” presented by the N.D.I.A. for their service to military snipers.
He has been published in several publications and the soon to be released American Snipers Association’s basic sniper manual. He is the owner and lead instructor for Special Applications Training, (www.specapptra.com).
